Bowen #11 Fighter      Custom made in 1991 by Tilden Bowen.   The 6" long , D2 steel blade is hardened to a Rockwell of 57-58.  With a brown micarta handle the overall length is 11". Comes with original leather sheath. SOLD

19th century from Burma,
This Dao was considered the national sword of the Nagas of Assam. It has a straight, heavy, square ended blade. Chisel-edge blade is narrowest at the hilt. The Bamboo root handle has a silver spacer and a hand carved Ivory pommel. The sheath is an open-sided wooden scabbard fastened to a rattan belt. This set has a Bear Jaw ornament attached as well.  These blades were considered to be one of the only tools the Naga had . With it he built his house, cleared the forest, made women's weaving tools or any wooden objects needed in his ordinary occupations. The Naga were also head hunters at the time this sword was made. Ax handle to top is 11.75" with 3.75 cutting edge, high polish stainless frame, and clasp to detach knife. Knife comes apart from ax. The knife has a 7" clip point blade with reverse saw blade teeth on spine of blade, brass guard, and machined butt cap. Overall length of knife is 11.5", weight is 2 lbs. and 12 oz. All trimmed with stag. Unknown maker. SOLD

Miniature knife in Mammoth Ivory case. Case is carved mammoth ivory, 3.25" X 1" X 1.12". Knife is 1.75" with 1.40" blade, nickel guard, Stag handle, and nickel pins. Made in 1994. SOLD
